This 3 Days Nyiragongo Hike safari takes you to the summit of Mt Nyiragongo, an active volcano hosting the world’s largest lava lake. The volcano summit will provide you with clear views of the entire Virunga national park and the adjacent communities while at the top of the volcano.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali, Boat cruise & transfer to Goma.
After breakfast at your hotel, our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu for a boat cruise on the lake. You will have lunch in Gisenyi town and then proceed to Goma. Dinner and overnight at Mikeno lodge/Bukavu tented camp.

Day 2: Nyiragongo Hike.
This is a day for hiking to the summit of Mt Nyiragongo an active volcano in the heart of Virunga National Park. You will have breakfast and go for a briefing at the hiking starting point. Hiking starts at 10:00 am taking you roughly 5 – 6 hours to reach the summit of the volcano. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.

Day 3: Descending & Departure.
