This 2 Days short Rwanda gorilla trek itinerary is a very convenient gorilla tracking safari to the Volcanoes National Park. This is the only habitat in Rwanda where mountain gorillas can be trekked and seen.

The mountain gorilla trekking experience is amazing as you trek through the bamboo and get to spend a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of these giants that are actually surviving and increasing
in number due to conservation efforts and funds from gorilla tourism.

Mountain gorillas share more than 95% of their DNA with humans and they have a great social life that is amazing to watch as they share love, grief, joy, and care amongst themselves.

They live in groups or families led by a male silverback gorilla and a total of 8 tourists trek a single gorilla family.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to hotel in Volcanoes National Park
On the first day of your 2 Days Short Rwanda Gorilla Trek, you will be picked up from your hotel or
place of residence by a tour guide for a transfer to the park.

Depending on where you are at or any other activity, you will be picked up from your current
location. Drive to the park and check-in at booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and transfer back to Kigali International Airport
Early in the morning ensure that you arrive at the park before 8 am. On arrival at the park, you have a briefing from the park wardens with guidelines for the activity then head to the forest.

The trek takes you through the bamboo forest until you meet the mountain gorillas. On meeting the gorillas, you spend a maximum of 1 hour.

Spend your time enjoying the gorilla family experience, taking pictures, and learning how they survive in their habitat.

After the experience, you return to the park headquarter for debriefing. Board your safari vehicle and return to Kigali
